I purchased a “new” book for Laura from a third-party seller on Amazon. I was surprised when I removed it from the package and found the book jacket was ripped. Also, it was stained and had discount stickers on it.

The bottom of the book was marked with black marker, which typically means the book is used or damaged.

Then, Andy flipped through the book and came across this “bookmark.”

I normally would have just given the book to Laura and told her to deal with it, but the hard cover Wicked series books are expensive. So, I messaged the third-party seller and received a refund within 15 minutes along with a note that they would check their remaining stock on this title to make sure that “new means new.” How is that for customer service?!? I usually do not leave reviews on Amazon, but I left five stars for this one. Yes, the book was obviously not new, but that response time and refund was nothing short of amazing. It is nice to know that some companies still care about customers.
