John Needs a Dog

Going Through Life One Blog Post at a Time

Players come and go in competitive sports. It is just part of it. Sometimes, you have to make the hard decision so that your kid can grow as both a player and a person. When you finally make that decision to change, it is so much harder than most people realize because you are moving onto a new sport family and leaving behind the sport family you love. The See family made that decision earlier this year and Jackson is now playing for the Titans Elite. Every now and then though, you get to see one of those families and it’s like nothing has changed at all.

We love you, See family! It was great to see you all tonight and watch Jackson 5 play some ball!

This is how John does virtual school – his blue blanket, hat, hoodie, and bare feet! When he told me his feet were cold, I told him to put on his socks or cover his feet with his blanket. He said, “Mom, don’t be ridiculous. Then, my top half would be cold.” Us mothers know nothing.

You know a man loves you when he folds himself into what used to be a Lazy Susan turntable cabinet to fix the shelf.

Andy was pretty happy to find this at our local Moser’s.

My response to this picture while Andy and Laura were shopping at Menards was, “Holy Cow! No. Don’t you DARE buy that.” They did not buy it, but I am pretty sure there was a large temptation considering that Andy used Laura’s head for scale.

After six months, it was finally time to go to Green Meadows Hair Company and visit Shannon.

When Laura was done, her hair was about 7 inches shorter. She was so happy to have a lighter head and the layers back in her hair.

It just felt so good to get my hair cut. I only got about 3 inches taken off, but my hair really needed it. I always feel so much better after a trip to the salon!
