The Chili Master is at the stove!

We received the email today that Laura was selected for Award Band. She was so excited. Congratulations, Red!

Laura had Award Band tryouts this evening. She said that she did pretty well despite a few mistakes, and she nailed the sight reading. Good luck to Laura! We should know in a few weeks if she was selected.

We finally made it back to Shryocks for “The Great American Road Trip” Corn Maze for some Sunday afternoon fun.

Each of the kids brought a friend, Abbey and Ayden, who had never been to the corn maze before.

Despite the mud and my hurting ankle, we had a good time wandering around the maze. For the first time, we actually found all eight checkpoints!

Afterwards, the kids checked out the Fun Barn and other activities while Andy and I shared some “potachos” from The Gator Wagon food truck. All in all, it was a fun afternoon on a beautiful fall day!

I guess there isn’t much she wouldn’t do for little brother. Laura is actually out running a mile with him to help him achieve his next Scout rank.
