When the beer is warm and you are headed out to hang out with friends, you improvise. It is a homemade cooler!

Andy and Laura did some landscaping work on our backyard today.

The end result looks great! Eventually, the clematis will cover the whole trellis. It will be a few years, but I am looking forward to seeing the truly “finished” project.

I had forgotten how big the chocolate chip cookies from Flat Branch Pub and Brewing are! I guess that one would have been enough for this family of four. I see a midnight snack in my very near future (provided the food coma subsides from that super tasty burger and fries)!

These are some of my “free Mom gifts” from Shutterfly’s Mother’s Day promotion. I love them! I am looking forward to seeing the bottle opener next week.

There was a nice surprise waiting for Laura when she went to clean out her band locker and turn in music today.

We have an Eighth Grade Graduate of West Middle School!  Congratulations, Red!

It is a minor miracle! John is rinsing his plate after eating dinner, and it only took 4,321 days to get here!

Andy got to enjoy a virtual happy hour with the “Whiskey Sigs” tonight.
