When baseball is rained out, I guess you play Monopoly.

When baseball is rained out, I guess you play Monopoly.

Our Monopoly-themed guest bedroom decorations are now complete. It is time to paint!

It was not the outcome we wanted, but the Mid-MO Stars played hard in some nasty heat to take second place at today’s tournament. They played a great Championship Game, but came up short in 5 1/2 innings, losing 4-2. Either way, John played pretty well today, laying down a beautiful bunt, hitting a single that turned into a “home run”, and making some good plays in the field. Great job, Stars!

It was a great evening hanging out with our Stars Family at the Drury Inn pool. The “Star-ettes” are always up for a picture.

The boys never left the pool.

We need to make sure we enjoy this weekend. We may not get another one this year.
It is time to measure the height of the kids again. John has grown over four inches in the last year and nearly 6 inches in about 16 months.

Laura has not grown nearly as much, but she has gotten taller.

I really love looking at these marks on their doors and I am so thankful that Andy thought to transfer the marks from our old house. Someday, our grandchildren will look at these marks and I bet they will compare their heights to their parents!
It was a tasty dinner from COMO Smoke and Fire to celebrate the kids’ birthdays!

A big HAPPY 12th BIRTHDAY to the boy who made our family whole! John drives me nuts a lot, but life would not be the same without this video-game loving, baseball-playing, continually-growing boy. I hope your day is fun even though it is a small celebration this year!
