A few years ago, I bought a set of Americana-themed chickens to add to our Fourth of July decorations. Laura told me that chickens were over the top as far as holiday decorations go, and she immediately started to tease me. That led to me buying her an Americana-themed chicken for her bedroom, which led to more teasing of me and then that led to me starting to buy different types of birds for every holiday – all affectionately known as “chickens.” Today, I have achieved the ultimate in bird decorations. Meet the “Christmas tree chicken!”

There is nothing quite like the Magic Tree.

While Andy rode his bike there with the CycleX group on this cold night, the kids and I drove there and brought hot chocolate for the cyclists.

The Magic Tree isn’t quite the “magical” experience that it once was for the kids, but they still love it (even if they do have to have pictures taken…).

The Christmas cards are finally in the mail!

Apparently, Santa is stopping early at our house for cookies and milk, or maybe Andy just needed to eat some cookies…

Well, it took a while, but our Christmas cards finally arrived. Now, to get the labels printed and the envelopes stamped and stuffed.
