This was not the way that we wanted Day 1 of Hickman Baseball tryouts for John to go. The good news is that he does not have Strep. The bad news is that he may not feel better tomorrow.

I spent most of the afternoon in the kitchen as I prepped breakfasts, made dessert, etc. It was nice to finally have some cooking time.

Andy and I went to St. Louis today, so that he could attend the Sigma Chi Province Conference.

I spent the day hanging out with another wife. We walked over to the St. Louis Arch Museum, enjoyed some good wine, and chatted the day away.

It was a great way to spend a Saturday.
The kids participated in the flag ceremony at the Scout Patron breakfast today. I was really proud of them as they did a great job.

Well, an internet outage is not quite what we expected for the evening, but it turns out that it was not such a bad thing. Aside from John’s disappointment that he couldn’t play video games with a good friend, we both discovered that broadcast television actually has some really good channels. I am thankful for the hotspot on my phone though, because John needed to complete a homework assignment and turn it in.

I enjoyed a Cranberry Pomegranate Martini and good conversation with Andy while prepping Chicken Fajitas for dinner.

Andy and I are celebrating just a little. I got this instant message in Teams late this afternoon.

Hopefully, my promotion to Director of the Assessment Resource Center will finally be complete soon! It has been a long three months working on getting this completed.
