I have never received anything for Boss’s Day, but today one of my staff gave me a card.

It made me think that maybe I am doing something right, and I very much appreciated it.

It was a little gesture, but it was enough.

John was the acolyte at church for the last time today. Confirmation is in two weeks.

It was the last marching band competition of the year.

The Hickman High School Marching band put on two great performances.

While the ending was not what we wanted, second place overall is still amazing!

Way to go, Hickman High School Marching Band! You still won “The Crown” in our hearts. It has been an honor and a privilege watching you all season long.
To our two Marching Kewpies, you killed it this year! You gave it your all, and I am so very proud of you both.
Andy and I went to Cooper’s Landing this evening for some time by the river with good drinks…

…and great music.

The replacement lenses for my cycling glasses came in, and Andy picked them up while he was at CycleX. I am so very thankful for these lenses.

A few years ago, I bought some 4th of July chicken decorations. I got teased relentlessly, which made me dig in and buy more for other holidays. It is now a running joke in the Kassel family about my chicken decorations, and any type of animal decoration is a “chicken.” Today, Laura told me that I was not allowed to buy “forest chickens.” Well, I have not ordered them yet, but I am seriously considering it!

It was the last Tuesday night practice for the Hickman High School Marching Band. Despite the rainy weather, it was great to watch a show for just family and friends!
