Today, Laura got to ride for the second time in one of her new big girl booster seats. She’s so excited to be using the new seats!

Today at daycare, Laura had to color a ball by number.
- 1 was yellow
- 2 was red
- 3 was blue
- 4 was green
- 5 was whatever color she wanted
She did a great job and is so proud! This is the finished product!
Epiphany by Laura
This morning while getting apple juice for the kids, this conversation happened between John and Laura.
- John: Wake up Daddy, Laura!
- Laura: No Johnny. Daddy isn’t a morning person like we are.
- John: OK.
I immediately started giggling because it is so very true!
Big Girl Seat!
Today, Laura and I went to Target to pick out new “Big Girl Booster Seats.” She chose a pink cupcake pattern for her new seats. She is so excited and can’t wait to use them in the cars. Of course, I am a *bit* sad because my baby girl just really isn’t a baby anymore. If I feel so sad because of car seats, how will I feel when she goes to Kindergarten in August?
Movies!
One of the kids favorite things to do on weekend nights is to pull out the “couch bed,” cuddle up, and watch a movie. Tonight’s showing was Toy Story 3. 🙂
My Necklace Holder
My jewelry boxes were not working for me with all my necklaces. I was getting frustrated because they were always getting tangled, so Andy and I came up with this solution. Andy hung a piece of metal on the wall for me in our closet. We bought magnetic hooks and I was all set! I love it!
Conversation with Laura
The following is a conversation that Andy had with Laura on the way to dinner this evening.
- Andy: Laura, you are a precocious little girl. Can you say precocious?
- Laura: (whispering) Precocious.
- Laura: Daddy, does that mean I’m smart?
- Andy: Yes, Laura, it does.
