My jewelry boxes were not working for me with all my necklaces. I was getting frustrated because they were always getting tangled, so Andy and I came up with this solution. Andy hung a piece of metal on the wall for me in our closet. We bought magnetic hooks and I was all set! I love it!
Conversation with Laura
The following is a conversation that Andy had with Laura on the way to dinner this evening.
- Andy: Laura, you are a precocious little girl. Can you say precocious?
- Laura: (whispering) Precocious.
- Laura: Daddy, does that mean I’m smart?
- Andy: Yes, Laura, it does.
We are in so much trouble with this one.

Plumber and Sick Little Guy
So yesterday, our plumbing backed up again. We get this about once a year. We called Mastertech Plumbing who came this morning and got rid of our clog. We also now have a product called Bio-Clean that is supposed to be excellent for cleaning drain pipes. I’m crossing my fingers because yesterday was not pleasant with the dishes and laundry to do.
I also kept John home today with me. He had a fever part of yesterday and some of today. He seems to be doing better today. I don’t know if he has an ear infection or what. He’s not acting as if his ears hurt so I’m hoping it’s just a fever. More finger crossing necessary.
Kathryn’s Visit
Laura’s “best friend EVER” came over to play for a bit this morning. It was great to see Kathryn and Andrea (her mom). The kids had a fun time playing and it was nice to talk to Andrea.
The girls played Wii Bowling for a little bit. Laura has decided she loves this game! John does too though he just holds the remote and “throws” the ball while Andy and I are actually bowling.

Prairie Fume
Prairie Fume from Wollersheim Winery is a gift that Dad and Marilyn bring down for us from Wisconsin. We got six bottles for Christmas this past year. It was our wine of choice this evening. Oh and Dad? We are down to two bottles. Think you might need to visit soon and help us restock our wine chillers! 🙂
