Keep Calm…
…and Leatherneck On! I got this great shirt in the mail from a friend, Karen McNeely Yocks, that I met at WIU’s 25th Anniversary of Sigma Chi Fraternity. It turns out that she lived next door to me when I lived on Chandler Blvd way back in the day. She was roommates with another Sigma Chi wife, Jill Cotte. Karen had two of these shirts made for her and Jill and they wore them to the Sigma Chi tailgate. I mentioned that I loved the shirt and, today, look what showed up! Karen is great and I love the shirt! Thanks so much!
Ah… Friday…
Off To Kansas City!
Today, I went to work while the family went to fun places.
John went to LEGOLAND in Kansas City with Brayden, one of our neighbors. They had a great time and also got to visit the Sea Life Aquarium. John was a tired boy when he got home!
Andy and Laura went to The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. Fortunately, Andy remembered to have Laura take her camera since I forgot to leave mine for them. This is their favorite picture.
Laura was so excited and told me all about the museum. She enjoyed looking at the African art the most. She was also very excited to see one of Monet’s “Water Lilies” panels in person. Since Laura was responsible for taking the pictures, the only one I have of her is when Andy took a picture of her while eating lunch. It will have to be enough. 🙂
Back to Work
It is always nice to know you are loved. I returned to work after a short vacation to discover some additional decorations to my office. I will leave some of the stuff up for a few days, but the picture on my computer monitor had to go. He is a bit scary. Oh yeah… And watch out Crystal Kroner. Your days are numbered! 😉
