Since the kids are at Vacation Bible School and Andy was back in town, we took the opportunity to go to Gunter Hans for dinner and drinks. We sat outside, enjoyed the good weather (sans rain!), and enjoyed each other’s company. It was a great way to spend a Monday evening.
Sister
Today, Andy got to meet his sister, Rachel, and her mom, Laurie. Andy was very nervous as he drove to the restaurant where he was meeting them for brunch. He got there a bit early and had to wait for Rachel and Laurie to arrive. Rachel was the first to arrive and, when she saw Andy, she gave him a big hug. After that, his nerves just melted away. He had a great time getting to know Rachel and Laurie. After brunch, he and Rachel ended up talking for another 45 minutes or so. While I am sad that the kids and I could not be there as well, I am happy that Andy got time with his sister to himself. I am very much looking forward to meeting her and her family soon!

Cub Scout Day Camp – Day 3
It was Day 3 of Cub Scout Camp and it did not disappoint. The day started with sports – soccer, flag football, and cycling.
After lunch, it was off to BB guns (John’s favorite)…
and Archery (John’s *other* favorite).
The day wrapped up with some time with the boys from his Pack. He LOVED camp and has already asked about next year.
Cub Scout Day Camp and Girl Scout Yoga
John and Andy both had a great time at Cub Scout Day Camp despite the heat. It was a day of fishing…
water rockets…
chess (John’s favorite part of today)…
and woodworking.
Tomorrow includes archery, bb guns, and Marines – a boy’s dream!
In the meantime, Laura enjoyed a short day at Camp Mudd followed by a Yoga class with her Girl Scout Troop.
It was a great day all around!
Cub Scout Day Camp
Andy and John are at Stephens Lake Park for Cub Scout Day Camp orientation. On Thursday and Friday, John and Andy will be visiting all sorts of different stations. I think both of my boys are excited!
