Going Through Life One Blog Post at a Time
Today, begins the normal school days for the year. The kids are back to riding the bus to and from school. Our neighbor, Jaxon, got into Ridgeway Elementary this year, so he is now joining the kids on the bus. I made sure to get a picture of all three of them.
Where has the time gone? Today, our girl starts her last year of Elementary School. It hardly seems possible that Laura is in Fifth Grade this year.
John starts Third Grade and he is excited to be one of the big kids in Unit B this year.
We took the kids to school just like we always do on the first day. I, of course, took the standard pictures. Here is the one in front of the school. I suspect this is the last year for first day pictures with both kids in front of the school. I am sure they will NOT let me take pictures of them in front of their Middle School in a few years…
And, this is the one by the sign. As you can see, the sign is under construction. The old one finally rotted out, so the school district is building a new one. Unfortunately, it isn’t complete, but I don’t care. I am taking the picture anyway!
Andy picked the kids up after school and took them to Sonic for a first day ice cream treat. At dinner, it was fun to ask the kids about their days at school again. Both said they had a great day and it was fun to see their friends again. Fifth Grade and Third Grade. Where has the time gone?
A coworker of mine had about 15 extra zucchini, so I said I would be happy to take a couple. At lunch today, he said, “Now, I know you said two, but you really meant three, so I brought you three.” At the end of the day, he got them out of his car for me. I think I understand why he has so many extra zucchini now. Yes, that is a lid to a paper box…
Give this boy a Chicago Cubs game to watch and he is happy.
We heard from our real estate agent today. Offer accepted! My anxiety level is very high now because we need to sell our house so we don’t have to carry two mortgages, but come October our new address will be 3711 Armadillo Drive!
…of Camp Mudd has come to an end. The bus pulled up at the campus stop at 11:50 with a busload of dirty and tired kids.
Laura and John were full of smiles, but they were also sad to say goodbye to their counselors. Thanks for another great summer Camp Mudd!
It is the final week of Camp Mudd – otherwise known as Party Week. Family Night included skits and they were cute! John got to “whee” for his skit…
… while Laura got to be one part of Gazbo, the caterpillar that could do all kinds of magic tricks, but wasn’t potty trained!
We left the kids to enjoy the final party and sleepover fun. Happy Party kiddos!
