Games
It was another Saturday of games. John’s game was up first at 4 pm. His team lost by a few points, but John played well, scoring a basket to open the game and earning the red star for defense.
Laura’s game was at 5 pm. She did a great job tonight, calling lots of different cheers along with the half-time cheer. She earned the red start for leadership.
Now, it is time to pick up our pizza from Shakespeare’s and head home for dinner and a quiet evening!
Morning Friend
Junior Girl Scout Vest
Along with the three patches that I hadn’t gotten sewn on yet, Laura got nine new patches this past weekend for her Junior Girl Scout Vest. I placed the fun patches on the back of her vest and my first thought was, “Wow. Once the cookie patches for this year go on, there is no more space left.” Thanks to two awesome leaders, Angie Connell and Mary Jo Creech, for making sure our girls have lots of fun learning experiences! I know Laura appreciates it, but I think sometime down the road, she will look back and think, “That was one of the best things I ever did!”
Fifth Grade Tradition
Ridgeway Elementary gives each fifth grade student a yearbook. Included in that yearbook is a collage of baby pictures along with a note on the inside cover from their parents. We chose one of the pictures that we took for Valentine’s Day when Laura was a baby and Andy wrote the note. I think Laura is going to love it!
