Boy Scout Troop 706 had their fall Court of Honor tonight. John did not rank up, but he did earn five merit badges. He worked hard at camp to earn Weather, Fingerprinting, Crime Prevention, Chess, and Oceanography. He has six merit badges in total, so we will be visiting the Scout Store soon to get him a sash.

He also earned eight service hour beads and three camping beads. Way to go, John!

Today’s job is baker and make-ahead breakfast chef.

It was a night out for Andy and me. We never quite made it to the Rocheport Wine Stroll, but we had a great time at the pre-, during, and after party!

Pinterest is my temporary hero! The Nilla Wafer Martini is so yummy!

It is the first grade reports for the kids. Laura is doing as expected, but John is the big surprise. He is doing very well for a kid who has never really liked school. I am very proud of him for his hard work. A “B” in English is amazing!

Someone got new glasses today! I keep thinking Laura is going to want contacts some day, but she really loves glasses.
