Going Through Life One Blog Post at a Time

The final games of John’s first season with the Mid-MO Stars came to an end tonight. Although, the lights went out early and the game couldn’t finish, so there may be one more game. Either way, it was a successful first season. He is still smiling; he still loves the game; and the families make us all happy. What a difference just one short year can make.

Laura and her friends prepped her chalkboard for one of our favorite times of the year. What is “spoopy” though?!? This mom doesn’t speak teen, so I asked. I was informed it is “a thing.” According to the teen, it is something that is funny and scary at the same time like a ghost falling down the stairs. Yes, she did use the example of a ghost falling down the stairs…

Today was John’s first experience as an acolyte at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church. He was very nervous because he was the only acolyte, but he did a great job!

We got to enjoy a beautiful Saturday night with live music at the Station House!

When John got home from school, he realized that he either left his binder on the school bus or set it down in the band room when he picked up his trumpet.

After determining that it was not on the bus, I sent an email to his band teachers. One of them responded that he was still at the school and had found the binder. He offered to stay at school to give us time to pick it up. Afterwards, I sent a thank you message to Mr. Matejek and below is how he responded. It made me smile.

It is a wine…

…and fire kind of night.
