Just a normal POTD (Picture of the Day) around these parts…

It was an exciting night at the Kassel Castle. First, I made two kinds of Refrigerator Oatmeal – Blueberry Maple and Cherry Garcia.

Then, I made Canadian Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Breakfast Sandwiches.

We are “grab and go” ready!

It is Cranktivus time again! There is nothing quite like a food drive on bicycles. This year, we put on our crazy Christmas gear and visited Gerbes, Schnucks, and Lucky’s Market.

We spent just under two hours riding through town and enjoying what was a really beautiful day. Once we got back to Walt’s, we enjoyed beer and pizza and watched all the food arrive.

It is amazing how much food can be collected on bikes! CRANKTIVUS!
To the jerk(s) who came into our yard overnight and stole our inflatable Santa that we have had for 10+ years, the four projectors that were on our two front yard trees, and all the extension cords and timers that controlled them, YOU SUCK. I guess I should be thankful that you did not steal anything actually attached to our house?!? We have not yet installed security cameras, but you can bet it will happen now. Why do people think it is okay to steal from others? I am so disappointed and disgusted.

Laura played with the West Middle School Eighth Grade Band at the Shelter Insurance Christmas Tree lighting this evening.

The West Middle School Band and Choir perform every year for this event and each group performed different Christmas songs for the crowd.

The band played, “O Christmas Tree”, before the lighting and then everyone enjoyed watching the tree light up. First, they lit the star.

Then, they lit the rest of the tree. The lights change color in many different patterns, but this was my favorite.

It was a fun evening and we all enjoyed it!
