Let summer begin!

Going Through Life One Blog Post at a Time
Let summer begin!

While I was with John at a baseball tournament, Andy and Laura attended the Bar Mitzvah for Akiva Trachtenberg. Akiva is the son of one of Andy’s fraternity brothers. I would have liked to have gone as well, but I am glad that Andy and Laura got to go. It was a new experience and they both enjoyed themselves.

I am hanging out with these two in O’Fallon, Illinois, tonight.

We officially have a Junior and a Freshman at Hickman High School.

Our usual celebration picnic at the Big Tree could not happen this year because it was raining. Instead, we enjoyed some family time at our table. It was not quite the same, but we still made the most of it.

School is officially out for summer!
It is time to go through the pile of stuff that always seems to collect on the kitchen counter.

It seemed like a good day to make some homemade granola.

From Kindergarten to Eighth Grade Graduation…

Both kids will be in the same school again next year, but it is Hickman High School this time. It is only two years to Laura graduating and four years to John graduating.

How did time get so away from me? It seems like John just started Kindergarten, yet here we are talking about being a Freshman. This mom is not ready.
