A few years ago, I bought a set of Americana-themed chickens to add to our Fourth of July decorations. Laura told me that chickens were over the top as far as holiday decorations go, and she immediately started to tease me. That led to me buying her an Americana-themed chicken for her bedroom, which led to more teasing of me and then that led to me starting to buy different types of birds for every holiday – all affectionately known as “chickens.” Today, I have achieved the ultimate in bird decorations.
