Refrigerator Magnet Gifts from the Kids!
And last, but NOT least, Chocolate Covered Strawberries (both milk chocolate and white chocoloate) from the Candy Factory for me!
Valentine’s Day Preparations
We spent a little bit of time preparing for Valentine’s Day tomorrow. Laura and I made cards on my computer and then printed them. She colored them for her daycare friends, Cheryl, and Grandma Sylvia.
Laura was very proud of the completed Valentine’s Day cards!
While at Moser’s Foods yesterday, I asked Laura what kind of cookies she wanted to make for her daycare friends. She saw this cake and decided that’s what she wanted! So Chocolate Heart Cake it is!
You’ll note the cake has a blue bow. They also had a cake with a red bow, but Laura said that we couldn’t get that cake. Why you ask? Because girls can’t wear red bows…except for Laura because red bows match her pretty hair.
Playdoh!
Bedhead! (Crazy Hair if you are Laura)
The Picture That Always Makes Me Laugh
I had forgotten about this picture until today when I was downloading pictures from our family website so I could upload them to Facebook. I just started laughing remembering that day. It was July 2007 and we were driving home from daycare. We had the windows down on the car and Laura’s hair was just blowing all around. We just laughed all the way home. I think it was the *last* time she liked her hair being blown around!
Things Kids Say
A conversation with Laura this morning went like this:
- Laura: Mommy, is it Gymnastics Day at daycare today?
- Me: Yes, Laura it is.
- Laura: Yay! (She said this while jumping up and down).
- Laura: Mommy, I have a headache.
- Me: I’ll give you some medicine.
- Laura: OK. Mommy, I’m going potty now.
- Me: You do that Laura.
- Laura: Mommy, Jessie (her Toy Story doll) fell off my bed this morning, but I rescued her.
Now, notice that none of those 4 things she told me about have anything to do with anything else. She must be my daughter, because I do that all the time!
