This has become the standard in Spencer Hills subdivision when the weather is nice. Lots of kids get together and play between our yard and several neighbors’ yards that live behind us. The kids generally start in one yard and then move to another and then another and then another…. They have a blast!
Fun Day!
Today was a very fun day! The weather was wonderful so we spent most of the day outside. The kids played very hard. 🙂 The morning was spent at Cosmo Park.
Laura met another little girl, Calista, at Cosmo Park and they played together for quite a while.
About noon, I took John home and he actually fell asleep at the table while eating lunch. He ended up taking nearly a 3 1/2 hour nap! Laura spent the entire afternoon outside with the neighborhood kids. She had yet another first today: SUNBURN! Mommy was not happy. Can’t believe I forgot to put sunscreen on my redhead. Fortunately, it’s not bad so she’ll be just fine.
Both kids are now cuddled up on the couch enjoying the movie “Megamind.” I think Andy and I are going to light the outdoor fireplace and relax.
Easter Bunny Presents!
I “ran into” the Easter Bunny today and told him that Laura and John wanted bicycles. 🙂 He said he would be happy to accommodate such requests.
The orange and black “Tigger” bike below is John’s! The Easter Bunny found it at Goodwill for $15. Just needs a little bit of clean up. I’m sure John will be way too big for it next year so the Easter Bunny felt it was appropriate to not spend a lot of money. The Easter Bunny also found a Toy Story helmet at Toys R Us. John should love it…though I have serious doubts he’ll actually wear the helmet.
The Easter Bunny found Laura’s bike at Wal-Mart for $35! I think she’ll love it and be quite excited! To accessorize her bike, the Easter Bunny purchased a Disney Princess helmet and a Disney Princess basket and streamers for the handlebars.
Only thing left is to find flags for the bicycles because Laura saw that two neighbor girls have flags on their bicycles. I guess the Easter Bunny will have to visit a local bicycle shop for that. 🙂
Big Girls Don’t Need Sleep
*The* Pan
I checked my menu plan this morning while making my lunch and saw that tonight we are having Jeremy’s special White Trash Helper (a homemade Hamburger Helper if you will) and Crescent Rolls. It occurred to me that the Crescent Rolls would again be baked on *the* pan. We use this one particular piece of Stoneware from The Pampered Chef all the time. Not quite every meal, but at least 3-4 times per week. As you can tell our large bar pan is well used and it bakes everything: meat, fish, potatoes, breads, cookies, etc.
Damn Andy
Ugh
I’m not feeling well again. 🙁 Spent a portion of last night sleeping in front of the toilet. I was doing better for a while today, but I’m back to not feeling so hot. Here’s to hoping I get a good night’s sleep.
