Our son, the Superhero….is he Batman? Superman? Spiderman? No…..he made up his own “special” Superhero. He’s BUTTMAN! Yes, you read that right. Buttman. What special abilities does Buttman have, you ask? I don’t know. Since John finds it hysterically funny any time he says it, we crack up at him cracking up. At first, I was horrified when he said it. HORRIFIED. Andy laughed more at me being horrified than he did at our son, the Superhero. Andy told me tonight that this is “just the beginning.” Lord help me….I think I’m going to need it! LOL Boys!
Playground Fun
Today, Laura had a play time at her new school on the playground. It was an opportunity to meet some of the other Ridgeway Elementary School families. Laura had a great time and immediately made friends with another little girl named Bethany. She said that she really enjoyed playing and meeting a few of the other kids. She also thought the playground equipment was really “cool!” One week left before school begins……
School Supplies!
Pictures
Yesterday, we got family pictures taken by Tamara Dee Photography at Shelter Gardens in Columbia. Tamara is a friend of ours and we were excited to send some business her way. It was a combined shoot of family pictures and Laura’s five-year pictures. Today, Tamara posted a few “teaser” photos on Facebook. I can’t wait to see the rest of them!
St. Louis!
I went to St. Louis to meet up with Carol Tisdale today. Carol is a great friend from college and was the maid of honor in my wedding. I left about 12:30 for St. Louis and sent her a text to let her know I was on the road. We kept the location updates going all the way to St. Louis. We went to St. Charles for a little shopping, to dinner at Zia’s On The Hill (awesome Italian should anyone every need a great restaurant!), and shared lots of great conversation.
This was our before dinner wine at Zia’s while we waited on our table. The trip was so much fun and reminded me of why I miss Carol so much. She is a true friend that you can pretty much say anything to and there is no judgement. She’s also the type of person that you can go without seeing for a year and it’s like you were never apart. We both decided that we need to do this more often! Love her!
