25th Wedding Anniversary Party
Tonight, Andy and I went to Paul and Theresa Musket’s 25th Wedding Anniversary Party. What a fun night! They are such a fun-loving couple and we were happy to be part of their anniversary celebration. We got to see some great friends, eat some great food, dance a little, and just relax. We came home with original napkins and matchbooks from their wedding. It was a really fun night and exactly what we needed. Thanks Jenna for “babysittering” the kids for us so we could have a night out!
Fun with Neighbors
On the spur of the moment, we invited our neighbors up the street to hang out for a while last night. Bobby and Crystal came down with their two daughters, Chloe and Claire. The four adults sat on our back deck, drank some beer, and talked for a few hours. I think this is the sign of a successful evening – four snuggled and sleeping kids. It was great fun and we’ll definitely be getting together again sometime soon!
Blissful Quiet…
Need five minutes of blissful quiet upon arriving home with two hyper kids? The popsicle method is foolproof. Tonight, it even earned me a full seven minutes of blissful quiet.

…but it costs $13.99 per box, is roughly the equivalent of seven bottles of wine, tastes good, and we like it. Just don’t drink too much in one sitting, the headache might make you hate it! 🙂
Chicken Nugget Day
Last week, Laura asked me to join her for lunch at school for “Chicken Nugget Day.” I told her that I would and she was very excited. I got to school a few minutes before lunch and met her in her classroom. All the kids lined up, me included, and off we went to the gym where they serve lunch. Laura told me that I had to have chocolate milk, chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes and gravy, a “little bit” of salad, and three carrots. After Laura paid for both of our lunches, we sat down to eat. She told me all about her day and asked me how my day was. She made sure to introduce me to all the adults and she made sure that I liked everything. After cleaning our plates, she gave me a goodbye hug and kiss and then she headed to the playground and I returned to work. It was a fun experience and I’ll definitely have to go again some time!
