Andy and I are packing, packing, and packing for our trip to Washington DC.  We leave tomorrow morning.  Lots to do!  Lots to do!

Grandma is here to watch Laura and John while Andy and I take our trip to Sigma Chi Grand Chapter in Washington DC.  The kids could *not* be happier.  Grandma is here!

Tamara of Tamara Dee Photography dropped off our new family photos today and I LOVE them!  We had them taken on the MU Campus at the Francis Quadrangle and the setting was perfect.

Parents of one of our old neighbors brought us some homemade Strawberry and Blackberry Wine for looking out for the girls while they lived next door to us.  It was a really sweet gesture that we very much appreciated.  Tonight, we opened the bottle of Strawberry Wine and it was fantastic!  Not too sweet, but yet tasted just like strawberries.  I can’t wait to open the Blackberry Wine tomorrow!  Yum!

It is the last day of Vacation Bible School (VBS).  The week went by so fast!  On the drive to church tonight, John asked if he could do another week of VBS.  He was sad when I told him that he would have to wait until next summer.  Both kids really had a great time at VBS and I’m glad that we signed them up this year.  VBS Year One equals success!

One of Laura’s Vacation Bible School Guides is Amelia.  Laura LOVES Amelia and was very excited to find out that she was a Guide for Laura’s class.  Every time I turned around, Laura would be next to Amelia talking her ear off.  I think we might have to hire Amelia to babysit now and then!

Today, I stopped by Goodwill to look at shorts.  I didn’t find any shorts, but I did spend a few minutes going through the dresses.  I came across a semi-formal that I decided to try on.  It fits well and looks great!  It wasn’t tagged, but I decided to purchase it anyway.  Generally, these types of dresses are $20 or more at Goodwill.  I guess I got lucky!  No tag means $4.50.  Now, to get it dry cleaned before we leave next Tuesday…
