Want to know how to get a kid to want to eat their green beans? Try to feed them Brussels Sprouts. John actually said, “Mommy, can you not make those again and make Green Beans instead?”
Cooking with Wine…
Thank You!
To everyone who bought Girl Scout Cookies from Laura, she says , “THANK YOU!”
I ordered 43 copies of this photo for Laura to give as thank you notes to everyone who ordered Girl Scout Cookies from her. I LOVE IT! One of her troop leaders did this last year with her daughter and I think it’s just a fantastic idea. So cute!!!

Dinner!
Spelling
At dinner tonight, I asked John to spell his name. He promptly said, “J-O-H-N.” He asked us how to spell his last name and then his middle name, which we did. His curiosity up, John asked us our first names and how to spell them, which we also did. You could see by the expression on his face that he was thinking something. Then, John said, “I don’t like the names of you guys.” Without missing a beat, Andy replied, “You can just call us “Mommy” and “Daddy.” John said, “Ok!” Whew! Crisis averted… Though, I’m not sure what the crisis really was!
Sidewalk Fun
As it was a beautiful, sunny afternoon, Laura decided it was time for some sidewalk chalk fun. She is pretty persuasive and managed to convince me to join her. Together, we “prettied up” the walkway in front of our house. About halfway through our decorating, Claire (one of the neighborhood kids) appeared to add some more artwork. We now have quite a beautiful walkway! It was a nice way to spend part of a beautiful, sunny afternoon.
