When this child puts *herself* to bed without prompting and is asleep *before* 8 pm, Hell has frozen over. I strongly suggest that you look out below as things will surely fall from the sky!

Busy Day!
It was a busy day for the Kassel Household. It began with breakfast at Bob Evans followed by a trip to Bass Pro Shops to buy new workout shoes for me (found a great deal on a pair of Filas for $30!). After dropping Andy and the kids off at home, I headed to Target to pick up a whole lot of monthly essentials. I got home just in time to feed the kids lunch and then take them to Alia Lowery’s fifth birthday party. It was an Ice Cream Sundae party (who doesn’t LOVE that?!?). The kids spent their time playing, eating, and running. A great time was had by all and the ice cream was yummy!
While we were at Alia’s party, Andy took a trip to Ace Hardware to pick up a few things that he needed and then got dinner going on the charcoal grill. After we got home from the party, Andy set up the Slip ‘N’ Slide for the kids and he and I relaxed with some drinks.
We ate a tasty dinner of Grilled Ribs and then we all headed to bed early. Suffice it to say, we were exhausted after a busy, busy day!
Progress Reports
Laura and John got their first progress reports of the school year. Both got all “Satisfactory” marks with Laura pointing out that Unit B does “+” marks instead of checkmarks. Mrs. Sandstedt (Laura’s teacher) commented, “I am really enjoying getting to know Laura. I look forward to a great year together.” Mrs. Hanney (John’s teacher) commented, “John is off to a great start to Unit A!” A great start to the school year!

“New” Kindle
Recently, my Dad got an iPad, which made his Kindle Keyboard unnecessary. I mentioned that I would love to have a Kindle for the kids and, today, Grandma Marilyn delivered it to us. Andy and I got it registered to my Amazon.com account and set up for the kids. It is now known as “Laura’s and John’s Kindle” on my Amazon account. Laura is especially excited and can’t wait to start using it. Thanks Grandpa Ken!
