Whenever I am having a rough day at work, this is what I look at. It holds all my favorite pictures and the photo calendar that I made for 2014. It always makes me smile.
Dinner out!
Tonight, Andy and I were supposed to attend the Chancellor’s Concert at the Missouri Theatre. However, the date was changed from April 7 to April 14, leaving us to debate whether we should cancel the sitter and stay home or actually go do something else. We decided to not waste the sitter and we headed out to Chris McD’s Restaurant and Wine Bar for the first time. What a great choice! Because it was a Monday night, the restaurant was not busy. We had amazing food, fantastic wine, and great service! In fact, we liked the wine so much that we went to Macadoodles after dinner and purchased a couple of bottles for home. It was a nice, leisurely evening out. Exactly what we needed.
West Side Story
Andy and I received a free pair of tickets to “West Side Story” this evening at Jesse Auditorium on the University of Missouri campus. While I thought the play was well-acted, I was underwhelmed. I have seen this particular musical six times now and I can officially say that I dislike this play. A. Lot. On the flip side, I get to spend an evening with my husband sans kids!
Kid’s Workshop!
At Home Depot this month, the kids made a combination bird bath/feeder. I am amazed at how much the kids have grown and changed over the years as they have completed countless projects. Laura actually did a lot of this one on her own.
It is always fun to watch them (along with Andy) build these projects. The kids always feel so accomplished and are proud of their hard work. I know the day is approaching when the kids will not want to do this anymore. I hope that day takes a while to get here…
