Hermann!
Andy and I celebrated our 19th Wedding Anniversary in Hermann, MO, today with another great couple, Greg and Beth Van Hove. It was a beautiful, fall day complete with wine, food, and great friends. We visited three different wineries, consumed great wine, and bought some wine to bring home. A special thanks to Jeremy for watching the kids after school so that we could take our time and enjoy the day.

I asked the kids to get my camera from my purse. That led to a five-minute argument between Laura and John about who would get it. I finally just stomped down the stairs to get it myself. As I came back up the stairs with camera in hand, John said, “Mom, I was going to get that for you!” SMH…
19!
Nineteen years ago at 3 pm, Pastor Paul Moessner married two young ones. While we aren’t so young anymore and we have our ups and downs, there is no one that I would rather share it all with. Through the great days, bad days, fun days, and not-so-fun days, you are always there. Happy 19 years Andy! You are my other half and I love you!
Ridgeway Choir
The Ridgeway Elementary Choir sang the National Anthem at the MU Women’s Volleyball match today. While John repeatedly told us that he was *not* nervous, I think he was just a little. He looked a little scared while waiting to go onto the floor to sing. He did well though and I am proud of him for it.
Halloween!
My second favorite holiday of the year! Our Halloween Bash was complete with the three f’s – FUN, food, and friends! We had another large pack of kids this year and we all had a great time, adults included! Thanks to everyone who came out to enjoy the evening with us. The night went way too fast! Now, on to pictures!!!
This is the beginnings of the Great Pumpkin Ale from Flat Branch that, again, did not disappoint. Fantastic beer that makes Halloween even more fun!
Everyone had a great time, but I think maybe the adults surpassed the kids this year! Jeremy – did I really see you wearing one of my skirts as a dress?!?
As always, we “force” the kids to pose for pictures in front of our big spider web…
…but, then, we load up on the trailer for trick-or-treating! I sometimes wonder just what everyone thinks when our pack of kids coming running up to their door for candy.
I must say that riding in the trailer and never having to move while the kids go from house to house is the “trick-or-treat life!” I think we got this thing down… Because of the rush to get out of the house, us ladies had to wait for our traditional picture in front of the spider web until after we got back.
After being out for about an hour in the surprising warm weather, we headed back to the house to enjoy the rest of the evening. The adults hung out and finished off all the pumpkin beer while the kids watched It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.
It was another great Halloween with great friends, food, and dead growlers. On to next year!
Chili!
We came home from the kids’ school Halloween parties and Andy immediately got to work. The chili is cooking and already smells fantastic. Bring on Halloween complete with Chili, Flat Branch’s Great Pumpkin Ale, Trick-or-Treating, and time with great friends!
