The Kassel Family Project Life 365

This is Laura and Madi, our old neighbor, after gymnastics practice today.  Two happy girls!

We decided to make the table smaller tonight.  We took out the two leaves and removed the extra chairs.  It was so different with the four of us sitting around the table instead of on three sides.  It was perfect – absolutely perfect.

Laundry, basketball, cleaning, grocery shopping, and football – it was a typical Sunday in the Kassel Household.

Laura cheered in her first game for the Upward basketball league this morning.  Laura and Ava, one of her school friends, are on the same cheer team together.

While it was an *early* morning (Laura’s game started at 8 am), she had a lot of fun!  It was really cute watching our girl cheer.

Let Upward basketball season begin!  John was very excited, but absolutely freaked out and nervous, about his first basketball game ever.  Despite that, John really did well.

He scored two points (even though his age group doesn’t keep score) and he realized that he can play the game without being nervous. It was a win-win!

I was looking at our February family calendar and it occurred to me that we *might* be a little busy…

The snow stopped sometime overnight, but because Columbia Public Schools couldn’t get everything cleared, a snow day was used!  We took advantage and went to brunch at Cracker Barrel.  Then, Andy took the kids to Stephens Lake Park for three hours of sledding fun while I relaxed at home.  I think it was the perfect day all around!
