Upward Awards Night
It was Awards Night for Upward Basketball and Cheer. The entertainment was Robin Slain, one of only three women who can spin ten basketballs at once. She was really entertaining and fun to watch! Laura’s Cheer Squad got to perform the cheer/dance routine that they have worked on all year and both kids had a great time. John received an Upward basketball and Laura got an Upward cheer bag as prizes for participating. What a great way to end the kids’ first Upward season!
Two Hours
Two hours was all I needed. Some time with some friends at a Pampered Chef party and a bit of shopping on my own. Two hours can make all the difference. Special thanks to my husband for knowing that I needed the time and for making me go out.

Friends!
It was a fun afternoon with great friends! My best work friend, Jennifer, and her daughter, Lucy, came to visit this afternoon. Laura had not seen Lucy for a while, so a Saturday playdate was in order! Lucy and Laura had a fantastic time building a fort, playing with the whoopie cushion (which is now strategically placed hidden under the sheets of John’s bed), and watching a movie. For Jen and I, it was good snacks, drinks, and lots of talking. It was a great way to spend a cold, Saturday afternoon!
Tradition
When Andy goes on a trip, it is always pizza and Star Wars on Friday night…
