John informed me tonight that his penis does weird things when it is big. I felt like running screaming from the room, but instead just stood there with what I am sure was the most dumbfounded expression ever…
Waiting on the School Bus
I got to wait with these three boys for the school bus this morning. Caleb and Jacob are getting on the bus with John for the next few days because their mom is out of town and their dad has to be to work before the bus arrives. The conversation between these three was so funny and cute! Looking forward to waiting for the bus with them tomorrow.
Swimming!
We spent most of the afternoon at Lake of the Woods Swimming Pool. We had a great time and the water felt great! John and Laura went down the slide a lot. A. Lot.
Laura stopped for about two seconds so I could snap a picture before she was off for the slide again.
And don’t ask me how many shots it took to get this one picture…
It was a great afternoon at the pool!
Happy Saturday!
Friday
Week one of Summer School is complete. Laura wrapped up her “Putting it all into Perspective” drawing class today. She brought all her drawings home and showed them off. This was the cover of her portfolio.
John finished up Cub Scout Camp and had a great time! He is already looking forward to next year. After I picked him up, it was a quick dinner of Popcorn Chicken and French Fries and then off to the ballpark. For the last few games, Laura has been the run tracker for the team. She looks so cute with her scratchpad and pencil!
John was a little slow with fielding tonight. It was obvious that he is tired from two days of Cub Scout Camp and his reaction time was slow. On the flip side, he had a great night at bat. He had a triple, double, and a single. He has been borrowing another kid’s aluminum bat instead of using his wooden bat and his hitting has taken off. I see the purchase of an aluminum bat in our future. It will work until he gets his timing down.
Cub Scout Camp!
I dropped John off this morning at Stephens Lake Park for his first day of Cub Scout Camp. Despite it being the hottest day of the year so far, he was very excited and couldn’t wait to get started.
I picked him up even more excited than when I dropped him off. He got to go fishing, investigate a crime scene, cool off at the sprayground, play field games, and make a wood project. This year, the boys made a two-piece toolbox. I think someone is giving Grandpa Ken a run for his money! John was especially excited that his new toolbox has his name laser-etched on it. I call today a success!
