Andy stopped at Echo Lodge on his way up Mount Evans and bought two stuffed Mountain Goats for the kids. These stuffies have been to the Summit! The kids were quite excited that Daddy took the stuffies with him to the top. John has already named his stuffie “Mountie.”
Andy’s last ride of his cycling trip with Big Tree Cycling was the Copper Triangle Alpine Cycling Classic – 80 miles with lot of climbing. It was cold and wet, but he did it. Congratulations Andy! He will be home tomorrow and we are looking forward to seeing him.
Laura is having a great time at Twilight Camp working on her “Flowers” Junior badge. She was very excited to come home tonight with her turtle paving stone. She saw this at the registration table on the first day of camp and kept talking about how much she wanted to make one.
She also got to design and paint her own flower pot and plant marigold seeds. Two more nights of Twilight Camp to go!
I cannot even tell you all how proud I am of Andy. He has worked so hard for this. With his bicycling team, he summited Mount Evans today. It was 57.8 miles and nearly 7,000 feet of climbing in just over five hours. Great job to my wonderful husband and the rest of the Big Tree Cycling Team!
When Andy is out of town, Gumby’s Pizza is always on the menu.
So, someone thought this picture was super corny, but this is what you get when your wife does Picture of the Day! Laura was super excited to give Daddy a big kiss as he packs his suitcase. Andy leaves tonight for Colorado to ride Mount Evans and the Copper Triangle Alpine Cycling Classic with Big Tree Cycling. We will miss you Andy, but have a great time and a safe ride! We love you!
Laura’s birthday presents from Grandpa Ken and Grandma Marilyn arrived from Amazon today – a new Barbie and a Project MC2 doll! She is very excited to do the experiment that came with the Project MC2 doll. Thanks Grandpa and Grandma!
