There is no change in my Mom today. It will be another long day of waiting.
My Mom
I drove to Peoria, Illinois, today because my mom is in the hospital. One of her lungs collapsed on Saturday and she is in the Neuroscience ICU at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. It is going to be a long couple of days of waiting with my Dad to see how things go. Special thanks to my college bestie, Carol, for putting me up for a couple of nights and to Andy and the kids for just being there.

Cub Scout Fall Camp Out
It was the Pack 2 Cub Scout Fall Camp Out at Camp Hohn this weekend. It was a day full of activities. The kids got to play games and use the bouldering wall. John’s Den was responsible for cooking dinner. The boys cut forty pounds of potatoes and helped cook chicken, pork steaks, potatoes, and green beans.
Laura even got in on the cooking. She was a grilling machine!
We are in for a storm tonight and the temperature is supposed to drop. Cross your fingers the tent holds up well!

Upward Evaluations
Tonight, I took the kids to Calvary Baptist Church for Upward evaluations. Cheerleading evaluations for Laura means trying on the uniform. She did do some stretching and splits for fun while we were waiting though.
For John, basketball evaluations means doing a series of six drills. He did great and said that he is looking forward to basketball practice beginning in January.
