We have been fighting a battle in our kitchen. It is not particularly well lighted. Andy had installed one under-cabinet light and it helped, but certainly did not make a huge difference. Today, he added four more lights around the stove area and by our kitchen sink. It is a much better and definite progress forward!

“The Lemonade War”
John hates reading, and I mean that he hates it. So, when he realizes that he has to read to finish homework, you take advantage. He will be reading five to six pages out loud to Andy or I per night from “The Lemonade War” by Jacqueline Davies. I was happy to see that John didn’t struggle all that much with the words. Progress!

Fall Kid Pictures
With everything that happened this fall, I did not get family pictures scheduled. So, I took the kids to Bear Creek Trail today to at least get a few pictures for our Christmas cards. I am very happy with how cooperative the kids were and with how well the pictures turned out!
This is *one* of my favorites of the kids.
This is my favorite of Laura.
This is my favorite of John.
You are never too old to throw leaves in the air!
This is my favorite of the silly ones.
It is time to make our Christmas cards!
Mold Gone!
I came home from work today to find our bathtub in this state.
This is very exciting as the old homeowners had gotten mold along the bottom of the tile. Rather than clean it, they caulked over it to prevent it from spreading. It was just awful and something that we knew had to be rectified, but there were a lot of little things like that with this house that had to be rectified. Well, the time has come to fix it. Andy scraped out all the old caulk and cleaned the mold off with Tilex. Now, everything needs to dry extremely well and then he can caulk it again. Tomorrow will be showers in the kids’ bathroom for us!
Withrow Electric Shockers
John will be playing competitive baseball with the Withrow Electric Shockers next year. While I am not big on the idea of specializing in one sport so young and John will continue to play basketball, it was the logical next step because John has really outgrown the recreational leagues. We already know the coaches and most of the team as he has played with them before. It will be league play in the Spring and a few tournaments in the summer. This will be a new experience for all of us and John is definitely nervous. Wish us luck!
