Topanga and Josefina have been with us for 2 1/2 months now.
It is hard believe because that time has gone so fast. Love these two crazy cats!
Their humans start their hike tomorrow. Good luck to Tim and Renee! Enjoy that time!
Going Through Life One Blog Post at a Time
So, this was the best part of our day… We woke up to John like this. It got a little cold overnight, so he improvised.
However, it was a rough night. Andy had pain in his left side yesterday that continued to get worse. Overnight, he was completely miserable. He is not one to take over-the-counter painkillers, but he finally gave in and took some ibuprofen about 4 am. Needless to say, he did not sleep well and neither did I. By 7:30 am, we made the decision to take him to Urgent Care back in Columbia. We left the kids with the Cub Scout Pack and headed for Columbia. By 11 am, Andy was out of Urgent Care with a prescription, but he was still in pain.
I took him home and got him into bed. I stayed with him for a bit, but I had to get back to the campout because of the kids. I felt terrible leaving Andy, but drove the hour back to the camp site. As I drove, I knew that I would be packing up our gear and heading home. Once I got back to Mark Twain State Park, I filled everyone in and then went to talk to the kids. Laura decided to return home with me and John decided to return home with a friend Saturday evening. With the help of some great friends, we got packed up quickly and then Laura and I left. We returned home about 5:30 to a sleeping Andy. We will see how tonight goes. Hopefully, all will clear and he will be okay.
A Friday off does the heart good. Andy and I rode from our house to Rocheport this morning. Round trip was 41.4 miles. It was a gorgeous day for a ride…
…and tasty food from Meriweather Café.
Tonight, we will be camping at Mark Twain State Park with John’s Cub Scout Pack – family, friends, and a fire!
