Sometimes, you just have to give in and buy the ice cream. Now, what kind to eat first…
Brooks Turns 11
Today, John went to a birthday party for Brooks, one of his baseball teammates. The theme was, “Eat, Sleep, Fortnite, Repeat.” Fortnite is a first-person shooter, online game that John plays a lot with his baseball teammates and other friends. I think the party was boy heaven. First, they had two rounds of “training” followed by an “ABSOLUTELY EPIC” Nerf-gun battle. It doesn’t get any better than that if you are 10- or 11-year old boy…
Katy Trail Pub Crawl
After Andy rode 35 miles in the Missouri River Festival of the Arts Bike Tour and then another 35 miles home, he decided to join me for 33 more miles with a trip to Rocheport.
It wasn’t the intention when we started out, but it turned into a Pub Crawl of sorts. First, we stopped at Mulberry’s Grill and Bakery for pizza and a drink.
That turned into dessert and another drink at Meriweather’s Café and Bike Shop.
Which led to our final stop at The Station House for another glass of wine.
Bikes, great company, food, and drink… Not a bad way to spend an afternoon with my husband!
Forgot…
Huh. No picture. I forgot. Hey, it’s Friday though!
Bike MS
Andy leaves in just a few weeks to ride Bike MS. He will be riding 100 miles each day for all the people we know who live with MS every day. I am incredibly proud of Andy for doing this every year and, if you can spare even $10, I know he would appreciate it. The link is below:

First Day of School
The day has arrived. School is back in session! Laura is in seventh grade at West Middle School.
She walked to the bus stop this morning with Haley, our neighbor, who is starting sixth grade. Have a great day girls!
We also have a fifth grader.
It was our LAST first day at Ridgeway Elementary. I can’t believe we are already here. Another chapter is coming to a close.
