Going Through Life One Blog Post at a Time
There is nothing better than pounding out 25 miles on a bike when you are angry and annoyed. Unfortunately, it was a trainer ride, but it was still exactly what I needed. Day 21 is now complete with only seven more days to go. Even better is that I get to see my WRW Women for social hour tonight! Bring on the great friends, food, and wine!
Our Big Tree Cycling kits for 2018 arrived today. Andy got both the jersey and bibs while I only got the jersey. I am sure the kit will look fantastic on Andy, but I will be wearing my jersey as little as possible. Let’s just say that argyle is definitely NOT a good look on me. It sure looks nice laying on the bed though.
In between church services and Laura’s acolyte responsibilities, Andy and I squeezed in a ride together. You take the chance when you can because riding together really only happens about one time a month for us. I had grand thoughts when I first started cycling that we would ride together all the time, but that never materialized. Life and schedules get in the way and we often end up riding with other people or by ourselves. Today, we did manage to get in 12 miles together as we slogged down the Bear Creek Trail together. It was muddy and sloppy in a lot of places, but I still got a really good workout as mud provides some extra resistance. I also got some time with my husband without the kids. I will take it.
