Laura has decided to audition for Award Band, which is made up of seventh and eighth grade students from around the school district. It will be her first time auditioning for anything and she is nervous and excited. She said that she may not be selected, but it is important to try. I am proud of her for stepping outside her comfort zone!

BikeMS to Jack and Back
Andy and some cycling friends rode another BikeMS this weekend in Tennessee. The ride went from Franklin to Lynchburg on Saturday and then back on Sunday. These are some scenes.
This is along the bike route after “profanity-induced climbing.” Special thanks to JT for the laugh!
After the ride, it was off to the Jack Daniels Distillery for dinner and drinks.
I have to admit that I would have loved to have been there just to see all these barrels.
And, of course, you always need the shirt.
Andy and friends arrived home safely about 10 pm tonight. We missed him, but we are glad that he had fun!
On another note, John’s team finished third at his tournament today. I really think they would have made the championship game, but they only managed to squeeze in two games around the rain. Oh well. On to next year!

CycleX WRW: Laura Crushes It Edition
Laura went on her second CycleX Women’s Ride Wednesday, but this time she rode the whole route. She crushed it!
She rode hard and did not complain. She was very nervous about the small hills, but, with a little bit of encouragement from Lauren and me, she rode right up them and did great! It was fist bumps all around and I am so proud of her!
