Finishing a busy weekend with an amazing beer.

It was dinner at Sycamore followed by drinks at Twain Taproom for Andy and I. #parentsnightout

John is on his first Boy Scout campout with Troop 706. He was so excited to go. Here is to hoping that he is having a great time and learning a lot despite the rain!

John is the Grub Master for his first Boy Scout campout. That means that it is his responsibility to make the list and buy the food for his patrol. Everything is purchased and ready to pack up tomorrow.

Andy took the kids to TGI Friday’s for dinner and then to Ash Wednesday service at church tonight to give me some quiet after my first day as Interim Director. It was a busy, busy day, but it went really well. I was amused to find that my usual 1/4 to 1/2 page “to do” list is now 1 1/2 pages. I checked off a lot of things and added a lot more. It was a good start.
I asked Andy to make sure that he took a picture or two of the kids at dinner. I got a good laugh out of these. Take one…

Take two…

Andy and the kids went to Walt’s Bicycle Shop this evening for a meet and greet with Jens Voigt. Jens is a retired professional cyclist from Germany that has been in all the big races, including the Tour de France. They got to have pictures taken, listen to a question and answer session, and get posters signed. They all came home really excited!

Where was I, you ask? Well, I was being mom and turning in Laura’s Girl Scout cookie money and then prepping dinner. I would have preferred to have been meeting Jens as well, but you have to sacrifice sometimes.
