Going Through Life One Blog Post at a Time
Laura went on her second CycleX Women’s Ride Wednesday, but this time she rode the whole route. She crushed it!
She rode hard and did not complain. She was very nervous about the small hills, but, with a little bit of encouragement from Lauren and me, she rode right up them and did great! It was fist bumps all around and I am so proud of her!
It was another evening at the ballpark. John’s team won the first game and lost the second.
Overall, John played well. We only have a tournament and one more night of league play before fall baseball comes to a close.
Laura’s Girl Scout Troop had their end-of-year Court of Awards presentation tonight. Laura received a few patches and another membership pin.
It was great to see all that the girls have accomplished this past year. Congratulations to all of them!
Andy and I are in Hannibal, MO, for Rob Parham’s wedding. He is a member of our bike team and a good friend. The wedding was beautiful and a lot of fun! Congrats Rob and Danette!
It’s Friday and I am off work! Andy and I began the day with a ride to Rocheport.
We met Shelley Loesing at Meriweather’s Café for breakfast and spent a couple of hours chatting and enjoying time with our friend.
After the ride back in the beautiful weather, we spent the afternoon answering some work emails and then decided on Agave for dinner. Not a bad way to spend Friday.
While Andy went to the Sigma Chi Sid Weber BBQ in St. Louis, I was supposed to take John to his league baseball games. That was not to happen though as John’s stomach was upset. So, Laura, John, and I hung out at home. It turned out to be an uneventful evening.
