Going Through Life One Blog Post at a Time
We decorated our Christmas tree today while it snowed outside. It was a beautiful view out the window as Andy unwrapped ornaments and the kids and I hung them on the tree.
This year, John decided that certain types of ornaments needed to be placed together. All of his sports ornaments were on the same branch (until I spread them out a bit when he wasn’t looking…).
I love the look of the finished Christmas tree. Now, it is time to sit back with a glass of wine and a fire and enjoy.
It is our last day with the Blumes as they all head home tomorrow. We spent the day hanging out because it rained all day. We attempted a trip to the Magic Tree and the Candy Cane Crib, but the weather affected the light displays. We did have our traditional Friday night pizza while we watched football. It wasn’t quite the day we hoped for, but it was relaxing and just time with family. It has been a great, few days. I think John said it best. He said, “Mom, I’m sad. Everyone leaves tomorrow. Why is Thanksgiving so short?!?” It has been a Thanksgiving full of more memories for all of us. I love this family!
What a beautiful day! The weather was perfect and the family was as goofy as ever. We spent the morning chatting, laughing, and prepping food. We spent the afternoon enjoying the sixty-degree weather and just being with family. In keeping with tradition, we took some pictures of the kids.
They can only not get crazy for so long…
Thanksgiving dinner was fabulous as always with all the traditional fixings.
We wrapped up the evening by the fire while the kids played Apples to Apples.
It was a great day spent with family and it doesn’t get any better than that. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
