The snow has started.

Columbia Public Schools will be off tomorrow.

Now, what will the University of Missouri do? I am sure the text/email will come sometime overnight.

We have a happy girl tonight. Her new LEGO set arrived. I have to admit that it is pretty cool. I mean, who wouldn’t want to be hanging out with Ross, Rachel, Chandler, Monica, Joey, Phoebe, and Gunther in LEGO Central Perk?!?!?

She just had to finish it once she got it started. Chalk this up to LEGO! It is another great set and Central Perk is completely accurate all the way down to Phoebe’s guitar.

Laura came home from school today with a flyer about the different Hickman High School bands and a listing of important dates. She is most excited about Marching Band and cannot wait for camp.

Well, two days after my fever had broken, I started noticing an annoying cough. That turned into a wicked sore throat and even more coughing. It has been a weekend of trying to take it easy with lots of cough drops and television binge watching.

We used the new pasta roller and cutter set tonight. I was worried that is would be difficult to master, but it was much easier than I thought. The hardest part was figuring out how many times to put the dough through on each setting.

We decided to do spaghetti this time around.

That small ball of dough produced a lot more spaghetti than I expected!

The end result was very tasty!

I am looking forward to making more fresh pasta and attempting to dry it. Now, on to Amazon to buy a pasta-drying rack…

John is in St. Louis at the Youth Quake with our church, and he seems to be enjoying himself.

Laura was supposed to go as well. However, she made Northeast Missouri Honor Band, and they were supposed to rehearse all day on Saturday. Unfortunately, Laura got a text Friday morning that rehearsal was cancelled due to the impending weather, and it was too late for her to also attend the Youth Quake. So, I took her to do a little shopping and then to the library today. It is not quite the same as attending the Youth Quake, but we both enjoyed it.

Unfortunately, we are getting freezing rain. The temperature is supposed to rise tonight. I am hoping this will melt quickly.
