I am “testing” wine tonight for my office Christmas party…

We upgraded the coffee pot today! A carafe of coffee when we want and single serve when we don’t. It is the best of both worlds.

John and Laura spent the day at the Boy Scouts Game Day 2.0 event (2.0 means “year two”).

Laura spent the day hanging out and playing for fun while John and his friend, Daniel, competed in the Super Smash Bros. tournament. They made it to the semifinals!

Both kids had fun and John is already talking about next year. He also mentioned that two members of the Columbia College eSports team were there to talk to the kids. John said, “They actually have to workout too, Mom! They focus on their arms.” I just smiled.

My newest Christmas decoration courtesy of Laura. Her art may take over the whole house, but I will never get bored of it.

John had his first band showcase at West Middle School today.

John was nervous, but the kids did well for it being the first time.

This has been my view for the last two days because I have been home sick.

It is a good thing that I feel better because I am actually ready to go back to work. Mostly, I just want to get out of the house.

Andy took John to Sport Clips tonight for his first grown-up haircut. John hated getting his haircut and used to cry during it. So, Andy has been cutting his hair at home since he was two. John really enjoyed himself tonight and he thought the steamed towel and neck massage were “awesome.” I think Andy is just happy because it means that he doesn’t have to cut John’s hair anymore.
