The Mid-MO Stars left everything they had on the field today. They did not win the tournament (finished third), but they played some of best baseball I have seen all year. John even stole home base in one of the games today. It was a great day and these boys should be very proud of themselves. Way to go, Stars!

The boys went 1-1 today, but they played some great baseball. This team has been missing for a while. I am looking forward to tomorrow and bracket play!

It is Friday night weekend prep and I forgot to take a picture. We are off to the last baseball tournament of the year tomorrow morning.
We have officially reached the days where there will be no more pictures in front of the school sign on the first day.

Laura is in Eighth Grade and John is in Sixth Grade. As I watched the kids walk to the bus stop, I got a little teary-eyed. I can’t believe they are both in school together again at West Middle School. Time really does fly.

It is jump start day for the sixth graders and John is ready to go.

I walked him to the bus stop since he was by himself today. He was definitely nervous.

He gave me a kiss and hug as soon as we got to his bus stop, but he said, “I have to give you a kiss now, Mom. No way I do that when the bus gets here.” I watched him load the bus, but did not wave as the bus drove off.

He got home about 12:45. I called him to see how the day went and he said it was a lot of fun. He didn’t get to learn where all of his classes were though. Oh well. It is on to the first full day of school tomorrow!
