I apparently got confused and thought it was time to hoard supplies again…

I am making some homemade Italian meatballs to add to my homemade spaghetti sauce for dinner tonight.

Usually, I buy premade, frozen Italian meatballs. Yesterday, I thought, “Why would I buy meatballs? I know I can find a recipe and make them myself.” So, I did just that. I will freeze the leftover meatballs and, if the recipe is good, I can just make large batches from time to time to have on hand. I sure have come a long way from my 22-year-old, jarred-spaghetti-sauce using self.
It has only taken four years, but the final decoration is up in the basement. It is officially time to paint! Now, I really need to make the final decision on the color. Any one want to take bets on whether or not that takes another four years?!?

The Kassel men are off for a weekend camping trip with Troop 706. I hope they have fun!

That is a lot of posts.

I have new favorite Thanksgiving decorations. When the wine glasses speak to you, you must buy them. I will be using the “Let’s Get Ready to Gobble” glass.

Yes, the second “FINALLY” is straight from John’s mouth. We are terrible parents because we waited until he was 12 to allow him to have a phone.
On a side note, John has actually called both Andy and I over the last two days to ask for permission to stay longer at a friend’s house. Let me say that again. John CALLED us. He did not TEXT us. Maybe John hasn’t figured out quite yet how to not answer his phone and then immediately text us back. I am so confused. I was unaware that pre-teens knew how to call someone…
