Going Through Life One Blog Post at a Time

Our last day of vacation was filled with relaxing, riding bikes, and enjoying some of what Copper Mountain has to offer. While Andy rode to Breckenridge during the morning to enjoy an Oatmeal Latte, the kids and I watched television and began to pack.

Once Andy returned, we spent the afternoon at the mountain roller coaster and the Wreck Tangle. Laura rode the roller coaster by herself for the first time.

Andy was all smiles as he reached the bottom.

John took two turns going through the Wreck Tangle.

After dinner at Ten Mile Tavern, we spent some time at the condo hot tub and then packed some more. We leave for home at 6:00 am tomorrow. It has been a fabulous vacation. We need more of this.
After breakfast at the Mountain Lyon Cafe, we headed to Breckenridge for the day.

We shopped downtown and then headed to the Peak 8 amusement park. We took the scenic lift to the top of the mountain.

The views were amazing. It was so beautiful even with the smoke from the wildfires.

It was a fun afternoon. Andy and Laura rode the mountain roller coaster, and John and I played miniature golf.

After dinner at the Breckenridge Taphouse, we visited the “Troll of Breckenridge.” We love seeing goofy things like this.

Yes, the troll’s face was a bit creepy, but it was a great way to close out our day in Breckenridge. I cannot believe that we only have one more day of vacation. Time moves too fast.
We spent the day going up a mountain and riding bikes.

The peak of Copper Mountain did not disappoint.

Also, riding bikes did not disappoint. It may have been a short ride, but those views…

Andy and I wrapped up the day with a drink.

Vacation is fabulous!
The bike team left about 7:30 am for Copper Triangle. The ride is 80 miles over three mountain passes.

Congratulations to that beast of a husband of mine! He completed his fourth Copper Triangle.

We are so proud of you and we love you, Andy!

Andy rode with the bike team this morning. They enjoyed beautiful views while riding around Dillon Reservoir.

After lunch in the condo, we took some time to wander around Copper Mountain Resort. This included Sugar Lips where they make fresh, mini donuts. Andy and I discovered the Donut Sundae. It was wonderful!

We spent the rest of the day relaxing around the resort while enjoying the beautiful views. It was a great way to spend the day!

Four cyclists from Big Tree Cycling took on Mount Evans today.

They began the climb right about 9:30 am to the absolute best weather. While Andy was climbing up, the kids and I had lunch at Echo Lake Lodge and then spent some time taking in the sights. We had a great time hanging out at Echo Lake!

At about 2:30 pm, we got an update that Andy was at the summit. This is the third time he has made it to the top!

Once we got word that Andy was at the top, the kids and I left Echo Lake and headed back down the mountain. We stopped at Chicago Creek on the way down. It was so beautiful, and I managed to talk the kids into a selfie.

Once back at the bottom, we got to watch each of the riders arrive. All four went up, and all four came down successful! It was so much fun to watch them finish as it is quite an accomplishment. We spent the evening having dinner with the team at Copper Mountain. It was just a great day and the perfect way to start vacation!
