Going Through Life One Blog Post at a Time
I was searching through pictures tonight for the one of John from when he was three playing baseball with his first baseball glove. Of course, I got distracted and had to look at baby pictures of both kids. They were so very tiny and it was years ago, but it was really “just” yesterday. Laura turns 15 on July 14.
John turns 13 the day after Laura.
There will be two teenagers in the Kassel Castle in less than two months. Time is no joke.
When the weather gives you lemons during scheduled baseball practice time, you go to Play It Again Sports and make lemonade!
When the boys are camping for the weekend, I make breakfast for the girl. She loves cinnamon rolls, so I surprised her with homemade cinnamon rolls with the dough made in the bread machine. They were so good!
We have robins nesting on the support beam of our deck again this year. There are three eggs in the nest!
It was another great night at the plate for John. His batting average is now at .552 with 16 hits, 16 runs batted in, and 2 home runs in 29 at bats. Tonight, he laid down a beautiful bunt, and all I could think was, “Wow.” Somewhere between the end of the 2020 season and the beginning of the 2021 season, a completely different ball player emerged. This kid is not afraid to swing the bat, and he is sure fun to watch. In the words of one of the other baseball moms, “Getcha some, kid!”
Andy began the process of turning his Grandmother’s coat closet into a pantry for us today.
I find it hard to believe that the top two shelves were stored in this cabinet.
Andy will add a third shelf soon that will clear up even more space in the kitchen. This is a HUGE thanks to that husband of mine for taking care of my kitchen addiction.
