Going Through Life One Blog Post at a Time
John called from camp tonight to say hello. It was great to talk to him and hear about what he has been doing. He said that he is having fun and his merit badge work has been interesting. His favorite class so far is woodworking.

I mentioned during dinner that John has been texting with a girl that he met on the Yellowstone trip. John gets embarrassed when you ask him about it, but they have been texting a lot. This led to Andy and Laura going into full-on stalking mode. They are determined to find a picture of the girl, so Laura started looking through the school websites and Andy started looking through yearbooks. It was too funny!

Happy Father’s Day, Andy! I know this is not the Father’s Day that you probably wanted as John left for Scout camp and we will be spending part of the day at the baseball field even though John is not playing today, but at least you got to ride bikes with Laura.

I love you being my partner in this crazy journey that we call parenthood. I know that we do not always see eye-to-eye on how we raise the kids, but I always know that you have their back. You are their rock and their strong arms. You are their eye roll and groan with some of the best Dad jokes around, and you always make them laugh. Most of all, you are always there.

Now, go relax and enjoy a beer.
I was getting worried, but the Father’s Day gifts for the Mid-MO Stars dads arrived just in time!

These 18-inch mini-bats turned out so well! To get an idea of how big they are, I used John for scale.

I am looking forward to giving these out to the dads tomorrow.
The Mother’s Day gifts that I ordered from an Etsy shop for the Mid-MO Stars baseball moms finally arrived. Apparently, another side effect of COVID is getting wire to make the bracelets. Oh well… They are here now and I get to pass them out at the tournament tomorrow!

One of the best parts of being a baseball mom is that I get to hang out with Logan’s little sister, Hadley.
