Andy and I got to enjoy some good beer and time together tonight.

This is the result when you ask John why he doesn’t just eat ice cream directly from the carton.

Laura – “Hey John, let me hug you!”

John – “No!”

Laura – “Yes!!!”

Laura’s mission has been accomplished.

I took a few pictures of the Mid-MO Stars yesterday and then did some editing today. So far, I think my favorite is the black and white version.

There are moments in your life that stay with you forever. Twenty years after that one moment, you still remember it like it was yesterday. Tonight was one of those moments for John. The Mid-MO Stars never gave up! They were up 7-2 at one point against the Southwest Missouri Wolves and could have fallen completely apart after the Wolves made their way back. However, they did what they do best. They just dug deep. In extra innings, John scored from second on a single to take the lead back and then he caught the final two outs in the bottom of the inning to ensure the win.

What a team. There is not enough that can be said about the culture that has been built. They live it. They breathe it. They believe it.

Congratulations to the Mid-MO Stars on Championship #1 of the 2022 season! The Wolves are one helluva team, but you did not let them intimidate you. I don’t think anyone will have to tell you to remember tonight. It’s THAT moment. It’s YOUR moment. Way to getcha some, boys!

The Mid-MO Stars had the early game today. They gave us a scare, but they managed to dig deep and come back from a 3-7 deficit to tie the game, putting them in the AAA Championship Bracket.

Since we were done at the ballfield by 11:00 am, we decided a trip to Mizzou Baseball was in order! We met up with some of the players and parents from the Stars to enjoy a thrilling game. Mizzou pulled out the win in the bottom of the 9th inning!

It was a fun day of thrilling baseball. Now, it is time to get some sleep because tomorrow is Championship Sunday!
