I love all the different Fall and Christmas decorations, but this turkey just always makes me laugh!

Andy is starting the upstairs carpet clean. The guest bedroom is first on the list.

It is partly in anticipation of Thanksgiving, but also because we had cats for five months and there was a ridiculous amount of cat fur everywhere.

The guest bedroom carpet looks so much better! I am looking forward to seeing the rest of the clean carpets.
While walking in the Garth Nature Area at the Bear Creek Trail today, I heard some rustling along the water’s edge. Then, I heard animal chatter and watched a tree fall. As I got closer, I discovered a pair of beavers sitting by the water. I wonder if the chatter was their way of saying, “Timber!”

It is amazing what you find when you make John clean out his backpack. Who knows how long the download code for his school picture was hanging out in there…

One of Laura’s best friends, Abby, joined us for dinner tonight. We affectionately refer to her as our “favorite daughter.” Abby is always fun to have around.

We enjoyed two days in Hermann celebrating our anniversary, but we return to normal life today. Before leaving, we made a stop at a local coffee shop to try one more new place. It was a great two days exploring this little town that we love.

We visited two more wineries on our rotation today. First, we stopped at Robbler Vineyard. This is one of our favorites and we got to enjoy beautiful views and a great bottle of wine.

Then, we headed off to Adam Puchta Winery to visit the cats of Puchta! We drank wine too, but the cats are always the highlight!

We spent most of the rest of the day hanging out at the Pavilion at our bed and breakfast where we met two other couples that were also celebrating their anniversaries. It was a beautiful day and a great way to celebrate.
